Cheryl Hendricks is the Executive Director of the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR) in Cape Town, South Africa. Her areas of expertise and research interests cover conflict management and peacebuilding, the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda, South African foreign policy and regional African security architectures. She has published widely on these topics, including recent situational reports on violent extremism in Nigeria, conflict management and the role of women in Northern Mozambique. Cheryl Hendricks was as a PRIF Guest Professor at the Research Department Glocal Junctions from June to July 2025.
