Welchen Einfluss hat der Angriff Russlands auf die Ukraine auf Transformation politischer Gewalt? Was ist der Zusammenhang zwischen politischer Gewalt und kollektivem Gedächtnis? Und was kann politische Gewalt eigentlich noch bedeuten? Warum es wichtig und spannend ist, Transformation politischer Gewalt interdisziplinär zu erforschen, diskutieren Christopher Daase und Astrid Erll mit Tina Cramer in der neuen Folge unseres Podcasts PRIF Talk.

Alle drei arbeiten seit April 2022 im neu gegründeten hessischen Forschungszentrum Transformations of Political Violence (TraCe). Gefördert vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) erforschen darin um die dreißig Wissenschaftler:innen von April 2022 bis 2026 multiperspektivisch Transformationen politischer Gewalt.

Christopher Daase ist Professor für Internationale Organisation an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt und stellvertretender Direktor des Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF). Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich der Sicherheitspolitik sowie der internationalen Institutionen. Neben seiner Beteiligung an zahlreichen Forschungsprojekten ist er auch der Co-Sprecher des Forschungszentrums TraCe.

Astrid Erll ist Professorin für Anglophone Literatures and Cultures an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. Ihre Forschungsinteressen umfassen unter anderem Literaturwissenschaft, Literatur- und Mediengeschichte, Kultur- und Medientheorie, transkulturelle Studien und Gedächtnisforschung. Sie ist ebenfalls Co-Sprecherin von TraCe.

Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Sicherheitspolitik, internationale Institutionen und politische Gewalt. // Prof. Dr Christopher Daase is Deputy Director at PRIF and head of PRIF’s Research Departments “International Security” and “Transnational Politics”. His research focusses on security policy, international institutions and political violence.

Prof. Dr. Astrid Erll ist PI im regionalen Forschungszentrum „Transformations of Political Violence” (TraCe) und Professorin für Anglophone Literatures and Cultures an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. Ihre Schwerpunkte sind Literatur- und Mediengeschichte, Kultur- und Medientheorie, transkulturelle Studien und Gedächtnisforschung. // Prof. Dr Astrid Erll is PI in the regional Research Center “Transformations of Political Violence” (TraCe) and Professor of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures at Goethe University Frankfurt. She focuses on literary and media history, cultural and media theory, transcultural studies, and memory studies.
